Mary Louis Resch

Mary Louise Resch is a US Army veteran who has served over 35 years in the non-profit sector as an Executive Director, Development Director, Grant Writer, and Lobbyist. She has worked with such diverse populations as homelessness, food insecurity, dropout prevention, and juvenile justice. She is a Senior Certified Grants Specialist (SCGS) and has raised hundreds of millions of dollars over her non-profit career. She has also worked as a non-profit advocate as part of the efforts to provide SC food banks with annual state funding and passing the SC Raffle Bill. She has also worked at the national level as an Oxfam Sister on the Planet Ambassador, working on Capitol Hill on international hunger issues.

Mary Louise has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Excelsior University and a Masters of Science in Education with specialties in military family therapy, domestic violence, and child sexual abuse treatment from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.

Ms. Resch is the recipient of a National Point of Light from the Points of Light Foundation for her work in juvenile justice diversion programs, a Jefferson Award for creating “Operation HP (Hunger Prevention)” for SC military personnel with Harvest Hope Food Bank. She is a 2021 SC Business Report “Icon” for dedication to making the community a little better than before.

Mary Louise lives in beautiful West Columbia and enjoys traveling (especially cruises), listening to podcasts, and embroidery and other crafts in her free time.
